Open the agent chat panel in a new window

You can now open the agent chat panel into a new window on the Figma desktop app for both macOS and Windows. It stays visible when you work with other tools or switch tabs.

added
Responsive spacing across design and CSS

Auto layout's auto spacing now has two new options, “Around” and “Evenly”, alongside the existing default auto spacing behavior now called “Between”.

added
Get organized with nested folders

As work grows to more people and platforms, files inevitably get harder to find. We've introduced folders, so your team can add structure to files that flexes as project work evolves.

added
New - The editing panel in Figma Make

The new properties panel brings a more direct way to build in Figma Make. Click any element to adjust its properties by hand, or annotate a spot on the screen and let the agent make the change.

added
See AI credit usage in betas

Now admins can download a CSV file that shows credit use in beta features, so they can get a more holistic picture of AI usage and better forecast future spend.

GPT-5.6 is now in Figma Make

To get started, open the model picker in the Figma Make chatbox and choose GPT-5.6. The model is available on all plans.

Tab Groups: organize the way you work

Tab groups let you group, color, expand, and collapse tabs in the Figma desktop app. Stay organized without losing track of which file you’re looking for.

Community profiles, redesigned.

Figma Community profiles just got a refresh, so you can better showcase who you are, your process, and your work.

Visually edit your codebase with Make

Make now lets you visually edit your product and codebase, opening up prototyping workflows on production code or allowing you to ship changes to users. This is a closed beta and we will roll out access over the coming weeks.

Do more with grid

Grid is generally available and now makes it easier to reorder columns and rows, auto-position items into empty cells, and auto-add or remove rows to fit so you spend less time on manual fixes.

The Figma agent is here

Figma's purpose-built agent is embedded where design already happens. It generates and remixes designs, automates rote work, and respects your design systems out of the box.

Sections in Figma Slides

Figma Slides now has sections, making it easier to organize and navigate your presentation.

Custom skills in Make

Import existing skills or create one in Make, then call it with a slash command in any prompt.

Faster file transitions on desktop

Move between files in the Figma desktop app without the usual interruptions that slow you down. Links open where you already are, recent work is a search away, and what's next loads before you get there.

FigJam is your coding agent’s whiteboard now

With new MCP tool updates and FigJam skills, you can now generate architecture diagrams, ERDs, and more in FigJam directly from your coding agent — including into files you're already working in.
